How to setup IvacyVPN PPTP on Kubuntu
 

If you want to set up IvacyVPN on Kubuntu using the PPTP protocol. Before you begin, please make sure that:

  • You must have an active internet connection
  • A Premium Ivacy VPN account. If you haven’t subscribed yet, click here to subscribe to Ivacy VPN

You can do so by following these simple steps:

  1. Click on “Networks” Icon and select the “Configure Network selection” option.
  2. Click on the ‘+’ icon to add a VPN connection.
  3. Now enter the following details:
    • Insert desired server address in “Gateway” (Here we use ukm1.dns2use.com)
    Click here  for more server addresses.
    • Insert Username provided by IvacyVPN
    • Insert Password provided by IvacyVPN
    • Click on “Advanced“
  4. Select the following options:
    • Use Point-to-Point encryption (MPPE)
    Uncheck the following:
    • Uncheck EAP
    • Uncheck CHAP
    • Uncheck PAP
    • Allow BSD data compression
    • Allow Deflate data compression
    • Use TCP header compression
    • Click “OK”
  5. Click “Save” and then “Apply” button respectively.
  6. Now Click on “Networks“ icon and select the newly created VPN connection, click on “Connect” button to connect to Ivacy VPN.
  7. You are successfully connected to VPN now!
  8. Click on the ‘Disconnect’ option to disconnect/terminate the VPN connection.
