In this tutorial, you will learn about setting up Ivacy VPN on your Asus router.
Before you begin, please make sure:
- You must have an active internet connection.
- VPN Supported Router.
- Own a premium Ivacy account (If you do not already own one, you can buy a subscription from here)
You can select the respective tab for the desired protocol.
Let’s start.
Make an Ethernet connection or a wireless connection from your router to your computer. Follow
1a if you are connecting Ethernet router.
1b for wireless connection.
- Access your Router Panel and Click VPN from the menu on the left.
- From the VPN Section, Click VPN Client.
- Then click “Add profile”.
- Under PPTP enter the following information:
• Description: Ivacy US etc. (Anything you like).
• VPN Server: Insert any server, For our server list, click here
• Username: Insert Username provided by Ivacy.
• Password: Insert Password provided by Ivacy.
• PPTP Options: Auto (For Streaming purpose select None).
• Click OK. - Click “Activate” to connect VPN.
- The VPN connection will be established in a few seconds.
You are connected with Ivacy VPN. Enjoy Privacy with Ivacy.

To Configure OpenVPN, please follow the given instructions:
- Access your Router Panel and click on VPN from the menu on the left.
- From the VPN Section, click VPN Client.
- Then click “Add profile”.
- In the new window, click OpenVPN and enter the following information:
• Description: Ivacy US etc. (Anything you like).
• Username: Insert Username provided by Ivacy VPN.
• Password: Insert Password provided by Ivacy VPN.
•Now Click Choose file. - Access the downloaded OpenVPN files and select the country of your choice.
- Click Upload.
- Once the upload is complete. Select “Import the CA file or edit the .ovpn file manually by clicking “Edit”.
- Return to the downloaded OpenVPN files.
• Open CA.crt in Notepad, copy everything therein and past it under Certificate Authority.
• Open WDC.key in Notepad, copy everything therein and past it under the Static Key (Optional) box, and click Save. - Click OK.
- Click “Activate” to connect OpenVPN.
- The OpenVPN Connection will take a few seconds to establish itself. Sometimes Asus shows (X) as connection status. Ignore it and check the System log instead to verify the connection status.If you are presented with “Initialization Sequence Completed” it means the OpenVPN connection is live.
