If you have a router/firewall that offers support for PPTP and IPSec pass-through then you would have no issues connecting. Most routers handle PPTP connections  efficiently, even if they don’t really advertise PPTP and IPSec pass through ability. You have to ensure that your firewall is set to allow outbound connections to our server IP on ‘TCP port 1723’ along with ‘IP protocol 47’ (GRE) and UDP port 1701.
