Internet kill switch protects you from any data leakages that may occur in between the time span when your VPN connection drops for any reason. For example, if you are surfing web anonymously, downloading files, streaming videos, and suddenly your VPN connection drops, hence all the data that is being exchanged in between that time interval would not be secured and is exposed to your ISPs or any third party.

Now, if you have this option switched on, and your VPN connection drops, all the internet activities will be halted, so as to ensure that no data exchange is taking place during those moments of vulnerability. When you are ready to resume the Internet activity, simply uncheck “Activate Internet Kill Switch” when VPN disconnects.” from the software.
