How to setup Ivacy VPN for OpenELEC on Kodi

Prerequisites for installing Ivacy Addon on OpenELEC:

  • Own a premium Ivacy account (If you do not already own one, you can buy a subscription from here)
  • A media Box based on OpenELEC
  • You must have an active internet connection.
  • If you are using OpenELEC version 6, then you must first add OpenVPN Add-on, in order for Ivacy VPN to work. The process of installing OpenElec is provided in the tutorial below.
  • For this tutorial, we assume that you have a Raspberry Pi unit with OpenELEC installed, or any other OpenELEC based hardware for example Wetek Play; and are able to access the device directly via an attached monitor and keyboard, and that you have a USB drive (or drives) attached to it (if you need to download some files through addons).
